Who We Are

Our vision at South West Football Academy (SWFA) is to create a culture where everyone who joins SWFA feels welcomed but also understands how to maintain standards to reap successes no matter how small. We have created a syllabus aligned with top professional academies across the country where players can fulfil their full potential with the aim of getting signed into an academy. Professional academy football is played at a higher tempo, and many need more ball mastery skills, technical quality & tactical understanding. At SWFA, sessions are designed to allow players to focus on these areas.

For players in our Academy programme, we run football and futsal together. Visit our futsal page for more information on the sport. Futsal is a great sport to aid football development. It is not well represented in the UK yet. Still, it is used as a tool for learning in academies across the country and played by millions worldwide, including players like Ronaldo, Messi, Pele, Iniesta, and Neymar, to name a few.

As we are a development academy with development coaches, we still aim for players to be part of their grassroots team. We are looking to establish good relationships with grassroots and professional teams to improve the overall quality of football for all.

Founder

Jack, with 15 years of coaching experience, identified the need for an academy that provides elite-level coaching for children. The primary goal is to offer children the opportunity to attain academy standards and eventually secure opportunities at EPPP Professional Club Academies, a dream shared by millions of young football players across the UK.

Jack has worked in Academies, Grassroots Clubs, First Team & Reserve Teams and taught sport in schools across the UK. He qualifications include BSc Sports Science & Coaching, UEFA B, FA Youth Award any many more.

Head Coaches

At SWFA, we use coaches who bring experience and expertise. Each of our coaches holds prestigious UEFA A and B qualifications, ensuring they have received extensive training in player development and coaching methodologies. Their backgrounds include years of hands-on experience in various competitive, educational, and developmental environments, which allows them to nurture talent effectively and inspire players to reach their full potential. We are committed to providing our players with the best possible guidance and support as they pursue their football aspirations.
